About

I'm Jonathan David, an interdisciplinary designer who specializes in understanding and managing complexity. I use concepts from discrete mathematics to model people, systems, and interactions, helping teams reason about change before they build it.

My approach bridges craft and logic. This allows me to understand people and states as they change, uncover behaviors, interactions, and navigation and look at the systems and experiences these create in new ways. My background in visual design and music has taught me that meaning emerges from relationships between pattern, semantics, and behavior. Using ideas from multiple disciplines helps me make complexity understandable, strategically disrupt systems to make desirable change, and analyze impacts in novel ways.
